Power Outage during burn - complete loss or can I save the D

I was recently recording a live band directly to DVD. At the 3.5 hour mark, someone kicked out the plug to my recorder!
Is there any way to save this data?
I was using a stand alone DVD recorder by Zenith.
Maybe someone knows of some software that can add an EOF (End of File) to the data?

Hmm.. the file system and the video file are probably both damaged. Give isobuster (www.isobuster.com) a try and see if it can view the disc contents.

Update!
Great suggestion Ian. I did some searching and found IsoBuster to be my best (and only) hope.
IsoBuster worked...well...sort of.
Initially, the disc looks like it is BLANK. I tried reading it on all sorts of different machines and they all whoed it was blank - including IsoBuster. Since the file info was never written to the disc, the 3+ hours of data never showed up.
I tried putting the DVD back into my VHS/DVD burner and recorded a few seconds - then hit STOP. This wrote file into to the disc and I was able to use IsoBuster to recover my data.
WHEW!!!

Very interesting solution! I'll have to keep that in mind for future reference.

I keep IsoBuster installed... It saved me some years back... I did not hesitate to upgrade to 2.0 even though I don't have plans to buy a BD-R or HD-DVD burner (not that the latter exists yet)... It's an outstanding product though I hope no one ever has the need for it... Oh, did I mention I learned a lesson back then... Don't use packet writing software!!!
