Quick Look At Traxdata 16x DVD+R DL Media

Traxdata sent me a pack of their new 16x DVD+R DL media. The discs themselves look nice and, like Traxdata's other media, are manufactured by Ritek. Looking at the second screenshot, you can see that the MID is RITEK S06.

Using a Samsung SH-S203N, I was able to burn an entire disc in 10:24. Writing quality tests coming in a bit...

16x DVD+R DL media is awesome! Traxdata brand media is distributed in Europe only still, right?

Yep, they're Ritek's European subsidiary. As far as I know Ridata still doesn't have any yet.

I posted a KProbe scan and a transfer rate test with the SH-S203N:

I think it would not be my 1st choice for DL-media

But dunno, still not a fan of Samsung-drives, maybe this media show better quality on other writers

Just to add a little more to the story.. The SH-S203N failed to burn these discs using Nero. It would hang at the layer change every time.

Have u another actual writer that supports these media?

Aside from the SH-S203B, I don't have anything else that supports them at 16x. The latest LG's write to DL media at 12x, right?
