Best DVD-RAM Media
Posted: Sun Aug 03, 2008 10:42 amI have recently had problems with Panasonic DVD-RAM Media in my stand alone DVD recorder. Does anyone have any experience with the other brands of DVD-RAM media?

Posted: Wed Aug 13, 2008 2:28 pmMaxell was manufactured by Maxell.... but I think that their 5x DVD-RAM is being discontinued. Actually, Maxell is dropping a LOT of their DVD-RAM products. They got rid of their cartridges, then their 5x 50pc spindles, and now they have 1 SKU for 3x DVD-RAM and 1 SKU for 5x DVD-RAM, and I think one DVD-RAM SKU in their video section packaged in a DVD case (not including the camcorder based DVD-RAM media).
Generally speaking I'd put DVD-RAM like this:
Maxell > Panasonic/Verbatim (same stuff basically) > Everyone else (I think Optodisc might be a little better off than Ritek and CMC though).
