ptpublisher colors

We have a 3 year old Primera Bravo ll. For approximately 6 months we have had problems with colors; washed out, weak, etc. We changed color and black cartridges, but the problem returned soon after. At this time the readout shows 45% black, 87% color, but print on DVD comes out with everything a very weak red.

I'm not really a printer expert, but could the print heads be clogged and/or need replacing? I'm not sure if the print heads are part of the cartridge on the Bravo ll or not.

Thanks. We have used the "clean printer" option in printer settings and for one or two discs it helped.
