Newegg has the 750GB Seagates...

Considering how long it took them to get the 400GB/500GB drives to market after anouncing them, I was surprised to see these...gonna order a pair next week :)

yeah i noticed yesterday they were out of stock, im thinking of picking up a couple of these friday

CDW has them cheaper, but also notes "ships in 1-2 weeks" :(

wonder if the old xbox would handle these? hmm I have some investigation to do now. Would be alot nicer than my 250gb in there now!

I wonder if NewEgg inflated the price of the Seagate drive since you guys started posting about it?

just found out yesterday that seagate bought out maxtor:

I'm not sure what Seagate is getting out of the deal with Maxtor. Maybe they wanted a little more retail market share or Maxtors R&D people? Over the last couple of years Seagate made a strong push in the retail market so I can't imagine market share would be the primary reason for the purchase.

That combo deal is dead.. must have been the shortest one in history. Heres a link to a screen capture so you don't think I've completely lost it-
