I am burning MP3's albums in folders to CDRW and every time I do some of the albums are out of order even though they are numbered in the same manner.

Never used to notice this in Windows ME. Started after going to WinXP.

Using Richo burner and easy CD because I cant burn to cdrw with nero right now. Last years and this years alpine MP3 unit. know of someone else with the same issue as well.

thanks ahead

Chances are you don't have the track numbers encoded in the tags.

I have never messed with tags.

Any suggestions?

Best way to look at it, there are two ways to label your MP3s. The first way is just to change the title of the file. The second way is to change the tag which is what most programs read.

Try this tool out, pretty handy.

Download the tagger and CD lookup tool.

I also doubt its an OS issue, most of the time it boils down to user error. Make sure you've updated the software you're using.

I appreciate the link and info. As soon as I can get my Liteon 52x in tomorrow when it gets here I am going to try this out. Just gave away my old burner. I am sure you are right only other thing I remember about the problem is a msg about the file naming convention length being to long but the burner prog renames the files is this possibly where the tags get out of whack you think?

Thank you

By the way can you use that prog to manually tag files or though connection and recognition. I noticed it connects to a server and save statistics thought that was kind of strange. Was not sure how it detects and corrects the files.

Thanks again
