Windows XP built in burning software question.

I uninstalled blindwrite earlier (was just trying out the demo), and then something weird happened after the uninstall. Before when I would insert a blank cd it would pop up with a box asking me what to do, like the following picture.

Now the same box appears, but the "open writable cd folder" selection is gone, all it gives me is the "take no action" selection. Since I usually use Nero anyway, its not that big a deal. But does anyone know how I can get it to display the "open writable cd folder" selection again?

Yup, and its not even the fact that I need the folder to pop up, because I can just right click on the file and select send to cdrw drive. But its the fact that I can't figure out why in the hell it happened, and whats bugging me even more is that I can't figure out how to fix it...

in Computer Management (right-click My Computer -> Manage, or Control Panel -> Administrative Tools) -> Services and Applications -> Services, look for IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service
is it enabled?
take note that if you enable this it might interfere with some burning programs.

dodecahedron,

I tried that but it didn't fix it. Thanks for trying to help me out though.
