Does Hyperthreading work with XP home? If so, why go with pro, If not, why do they sell it with Hyperthreading PCs in stores?

Yup, it works with Home. Pro supports two "real" CPU's (as opposed to Hypertheading's two virtual CPU's), but other than that I'm not sure that the Pro vs. Home differances are (I use Win2K, not XP)...

Pro does have a few more features than Home does, but not that many more. I'm not sure what all of the differences are, but one difference I've run across recently is that Pro allows you to password-protect folders that are shared on the network, and Home doesn't. I particularly noticed it because I'm running Home on my XP boxes because it's cheaper.
