burning blank ???

Hi!
I have Nero6 on WinXPHome on P4 [ht] with 512DDR...
When i'm finish burnning files using my yamaha cdrw drive, i get a popup saying the all was ok, but then when i want to see what i have burned - THERE IS NOTHING on the cd........ what is going on???

Is it possible for you to try another burning app (eg: EasyCD, Feurio) other than Nero as a test?
This will help you find out whether the problem is with Drive, CD or application.

i tried to burn also using the default winXP burning service... i got the same problem...

If it's a new drive, then I think it's time to talk to tech support. If it's an old drive, let us know what is the last major software / hardware change you did before getting this error.
Btw, did you try different media?

1 year old... [made in 2001. i used it since 2002]i only burned 100 or so cd's in that year...
& i didn't use it for reading at all... just for writing...
i took the media that this burner can't write on & tested it on a LG writer... & it burned it good...
i also installed the yamaha on another pc with WinME & it didn't burned...
[btw, i used to use a certain cd brand in the last year, & it was 99% of the times good... untill the last month...]

Does it mean that your drive didn't work also in the other PC?
How about reading? One more thing you can try is to use a cd cleaner but I'm not sure how helpful this would be.
Btw, These days burners are cheap, why not consider to go for a new one?
