what i ask of every1, is to help me rid my pc of spyware - asware alike so i can get a disent firewall and whatever else i need so i never get these problems again.

THE OTHER THREAD HE'S TALKING ABOUT.

SPY Sweeper has been THE best that I've tried, even better than AdAware 6. Spy Sweeper has a protection shield that helps to stop the Spyware before it gets onto your system.

I've also blocked all Active X components with Norton Personal Firewall 2003.

I'm also being proactive with Norton Ghost 2003:making images of my current install onto both self-booting DVD & onto another HDD

If your IE is bing hijacked, and no matter what you do, you can't get rid of the bug......try CWShredder. It's the only program I know that will get rid of these things. Don't remember their home website, but it's a freeware, and you can DL it at www.download.com.

I don't think bolding every single word is necessary.

1) Download and give SpySweeper a try. Also download the free versions of SpyBot and Adaware SE. Scan with all 3. As has been said, SpySweeper does a good job keeping crap off the computer once you clean it up

2) Get a decent firewall, ZoneAlarm is fine for your average user.

3) Get a better AV. Kaspersky has the best overall detection for baddies with the extended database including adware, malware, pornware, dialers etc...

4) User safer browsing habits and update your OS.

5) Don't open shit from untrusted sources.

Get HiJackThis hit scan, save the log and paste it in response to this thread. I can tell you what you need to do to manually fix it. CWShredder only works for now several months old and older CWS variants, it's no longer updated by Merjin.

I'm running Spy Sweeper and Window Washer and both work great. You can buy Spy Sweeper at BB for about $9.99+tax. Go to the computer service area and they have the program there along with the AV and FW programs. Good luck.

I run these all the time

TDS-3 Professional w/ monitoring
Spy Sweeper
AdAware SE pro w/ adwatch
Kaspersky Anti-hacker
Kaspersky AntiViral Toolkit Pro
PopUpCop
Adsgone 2004 (occasionally)
routers hardware firewall
anonymous proxy servers (most of the time)
Norton Ghost backups

Helps keep nasty crap at bay.Pathetic what all I have to run to keep my main system secure. It is being used as a server for 4 other PC's at the moment and the anonymous gateway to the net for them.
