Problem:

A client cannot use the send feature in MS Word 95.....when clicking on send from the file menu it says "mail is not installed." It does not launch Outlook Express. They are using 2000 Pro.

Any thoughts?

Boy, that Word is so old that I don't know what to think.

Outlook and Outlook Express are two different things.
Outlook is part of the MS Office Suite which includes Word.
Outlook Express is part of the Windows OS.

So the send command in Word 95 maybe looking for Outlook and not Outlook Express.
If Outlook Express is installed as part of Windows 2000 but Outlook has not been installed, then you get that message.

But I don't know as a fact.

Having Outlook 2003 installed as part and parcel of my MS Office 2003,
I have no use for the Outlook Express which is P&P of my Windows XP Home.

10-4?

does he have the latest Outlook Express installed ?

does he have Outlook Express configured as the default mail client?
go to Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Programs tab (this is for WinXP. for Win95 might be a bit different but i'm sure you can find it somewhere in the Control Panel)
