PC not seeing Audio CD

My church records the service using a Tascam CD-RW700 (CD)
They are copied with a duplicator.

I can read/rip/play the copies without a problem.
But, when i try to do the same using the original CD, the pc doesn't see the disk ... says no audio disk, insert disk, etc
Win XP-pro, BenQ-1655

The original works fine on my laptop, the duplicator, a Sony walkman, but not my pc. Other audio disks work fine on my pc, just not these originals. I've tried 5 or 6 different originals, all the same.

I've tried Exact Audio Copy, Goldwave, Explorer, Media player, no go.

Any thoughts ?

Could it be the drive? Can it see other CDs?

Have no problems with any other disks, DVD, CD, burning, etc.
The copy of the original reads fine ... it's the original burned disk (from the Tascam that isn't seen.
Yet those originals can be copied on the duplicator, i can read them on my laptop, play them in a Sony Walkman, just can't read the original disk (and only the original disk) on my BenQ drive.

Is the original disc finalized?

Finalized ?
yes, i'm sure it is, as they can be read everywhere else, except my machine. Plus i've tried a number of them.
