Sorry.. I know this is not the right section but it best fits this.. since its "Anything else"

Ok.. so I have a -
Acer 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor With 5ms Response Time (P221WD) - Black

I just wanted to know if I can watch 3D movies with the 3D glasses on this monitor. If yes, what softwares do I need to install.. or any drivers maybe?

Just a standard 3D movie, like on a DVD? If it can be viewed on a TV in 3D, it should work fine with your monitor. You won't need any drivers.. just some DVD playback software.

Hey, i have been asking around about this.. and some people say that there is suppose to be an hardware installed.. because you cannot just watch a 3D movie on your computer with the glasses.. it should be pre-programmed or something.. now I am really confused and don't know what to do..

I tried watching some videos with the 3D glasses.. and there seem to be no difference.. and the videos were meant to be watched with 3d glasses..

I gotta ask, but are you sure you're putting in the DVD with the 3D content? I believe the 2D and 3D versions are included with that movie. I haven't seen the movie in 3D either, but usually there are only certain parts that are in 3D.

That being said.. you shouldn't need any special hardware. A computer monitor is essentially an over priced TV screen. Maybe the colors are off or something with refresh rates?

Yes, Its a 3d content .. but what's the gurantee that you don't need any hardware? because 3D is like something totally different right... can you try it on your monitor and see if it works? and there is nothing wrong with the refresh rate...
damn i really want to watch a 3D movie on this monitor..

I watched it tonite using Nero Showtime. Sitting in front of a monitor, the experience is really bad. Because you're so close, the screen is half red and half blue. Nevertheless, it was still clearly in 3D.
