DVD-Softwareplayer with "smooth" fast-forward?

Hello!

I use actually Cyberlink PowerDVD 4 on WinXP. But in future I maybe will use Win7; this OS dont like this old P-DVD4.

Now I´m looking for a SW that uses a "smooth" Fast-Forward/Reward. Most of actual SW just skip 30s or similar, but it dont show all/most frames while forwarding.

The only actual player that can do that up to 32x is VLC, but it can do this only forward, not reward

Any tipps what SW can do it like P-DVD4? P-DVD10 can´t do it, I tested it some days ago

Thanks

I've not tried it but have been hearing good things overall about ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 5

Thx for answer :)

I tried it, but Demo is locked at 8x. And in arcsoft-forum they told me that it also skips :(

After a long time I found a SW with that option :)

PowerDVD 11 can do it, also again with mousewheel-control.

Not perfect like old PowerDVD 4, but still the only SW with this function

Thanks for the heads up Scour. I'm still running PowerDVD 9.

PowerDVD 4 on older machines, 11 on newer or Win7-machines :)

PowerDVD 4 is still ownage, but it works on actually machines only with Nvidia-videocards. With Intel sometimes freezes the pictures, with ATI/AMD newer drivers PDVD4 closes itself
