Today when I was looking thru. my old piles, I found this game called Transportation Tycoon Dlx. It was my favorite game when it first came out. So now I wanna play it. How do I run this DOS game under WinXP? Do I have to boot to DOS using my Windows CD in order to play?

Thanks.

Yep you have to boot to DOS, as WinXP doesn't have any DOS support at all. I partitioned my drive and put DOS on a FAT16 partition, and WinXP on NTFS. I use PC-DOS (IBM) and this is the only way I can get all my DOS games to work. Also, depending on your soundcard, if you have a SBLive, then you will need the SBLIVE2SB16 files, to make it work correctly under DOS.

OK, now, how do I load the sound driver if I am an Audigy?

Most DOS games work in Windows 98, where the sound should be supported...

You can also try Win9x Compatibility mode in WinXP, although I doubt it'll work on real DOS games...
