I use Ashampoo to burn my mp3s onto cd but it leaves annoying gaps between tracks so mix cds sound terrible. It has an option to leave no gaps but it doesn't work!

Can anyone reccommend software that will do what I want?

Thanks.

The best is Feurio!

Anyway, you will have gaps because they are "inside" the MP3 files.
The files are divided in frames, so if the end of the song doesn't coincide with the end of the frame it will contain silence that fill the frame.

The Feurio Track Editor is the fastest and very simple for the task of deleting those silences.
Just point the end of the song (with the help of zoom) and use "Set end position" from Action menu or bar tool.

I'm not sure about that ashampoo software, but I would use Nero or the like. What is most likely happening is a 2 sec-pre gap being inserted which can be removed by selecting your track list and doing properties in Nero and setting the pre-gap to 0.
