Am I in the right area for posting the " Equal Bytes " question? Haven't had any replys yet. Thanks.

Well, you should probably be in the CloneCD forum, since you were trying to use CloneCD and weren't able to make it work.

That notwithstanding, please don't make multiple threads for the same question. If someone has an answer, he or she will reply. If you aren't getting any answers, then either no one knows the answer or you haven't asked in a good way to elicit an answer. In general, it is best to supply plenty of details with your questions (e.g. exactly what you wanted to do, how you were doing it, what software and version you were using, what settings you were using, what burner you are using, etc. In your case it would also be good to say what you were trying to copy and what copy protection it uses.) The more detail you give the better chance someone will be able to recognize your problem and suggest and answer. There is also a greater chance that someone will take the time to answer because it shows you are willing to do your half of the work.

Anyway, I'm not a CloneCD expert (which is why I didn't reply to your original question), but it would seem that the logical answer to your question is that actually CloneCD didn't successfully copy your disc. (Not too helpful, huh? Now you know why I didn't answer  ) So your question should really be something like "What settings do I need to use in CloneCD in order to successfully copy the protection XYZ?" rather than "I successfully copied a disc using CloneCD but some of the files are missing. Why?"

Ian, if you feel it is appropriate, could you please lock this thread and move the other one ( http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=8521 )?

Cfitz. Sorry.I am new here and have a lot to learn. You were quite helpful on my one and only other question. I believe this site is for people with a much stronger background in the CD area than I have. I feel very enept in not even knowing where to post my questions. Not a forum person. Thanks.
