CD player with index numbers

I bought a book about reading music, and its accompanying CD has multiple indexes within each track that I would like to specifically select, etc. The CD player that is part of my Win98 does not have this feature, nor does Windows Media Player. I've tried seaching the internet, but without success. Does anyone know of a CD player program that shows index numbers as well as track numbers? Thanks.

I know, it sucks

I had a CD player (my first one, circa 1988) which would actually do that, I have never seen it again on any brand player. I have at least one cd (Judas Priest) that is actually done with chapters within songs.

It is a shame to see that this feature wasnt used more.

well, it's not a player you probably like, but Feurio CD-Player can read those index marks... You need a reader able to do it and it's showed in "CD Position" in format "Track/index".
But you need to open Feurio CD-Manager to use that player.

Thanks! I don't own Feurio, but.... Anyone else? I was hoping to find a freeware or shareware program.

i'm not sure but i was under the impression that Feurio! is shareware..?
or maybe not but the downloadable demo is not time limited and fully functional...

Thanks! I'll look at it. Feurio! has been mentioned so frequently here that I just assumed that it was a commercial/retail program. (I'm using Nero and CloneCD; never looked at anything else.)
