I am seriously thinking about purchasing DVDX Copy. Before I do I need your help. What are the advantages of using DVDX Copy versus DVD ripping and encoding freeware? Does DVDX Copy burn a DVD in less time?
Is DVDXCopy more user friendly? Does DVDX Copy deliver a better quality video?
DVDX Copy is a $100 and at present I am using freeware programs. Is DVDX Copy worth the cash?

Thanks for your input. CDRLABS rule. :P

Simplicity. If you have a DVD Reader and a separate DVD burner. Put your original in DVD reader, blank dvd on burner, click copy and check disc is ready. Go to do something else, when you comeback it is done.

Most backups fit in 2 discs.
Most of them take 12 minutes for reading and about 25 minutes for burning per disc. (2.4x burner)
Some take 1 hour per disc. I do not know why.

Is DVDXCopy more user friendly?

I think so.

Does DVDX Copy deliver a better quality video?

Same as original.

That is your personal decision.

Be aware that disc backup is a difficult task. The program will work in most but not all originals. There are some issues with non-standard originals.
