I check this line about twice a week and rarely see good complaints. Aren't there enough problems in the world?

Come on people, this is a rant and rave post board.

Air your grievences, I will start:

I am going through a breakup from a long term relationship and my girlffriend is hold my cell number hostage.

We were on the same cell plan due to her work discount.

I have now lost contact with the world as this is the only number I have given to everyone I know or work with.

And get this, I paid for my phone at $280 two months ago (no rebates or anything), I have the receipt and my credit card to prove, and Sprint will not let me put a new number on this phone. This means she is effectively holding my number and the phone in my hand hostage, damn her and Sprint!

I have not gotten a new number hoping that I could get my old one back.

Start putting the number on the wall of every men's room you can get to. List as "Good Time - Hot Stuff". Also, take out For Sale ad with a price that is far too good to be true. Be inventive - this is no time for half way measures.

I have heard horror stories about sprint, especially their customer service and network operations :( . Everyone I know who isn't stuck with a contract has switched over to MetroPC and loved it! (San Francisco Bay Area)
My point, just maybe the cold-hearted bitch has done you several favors: a better phone rate plan and no future (extremely costly) divorce!
Good luck, move on and count your blessings! :D

Threaten to take her to court or send her a good fake lawyers letter. Maybe then she'll give up your number and the phone.

Good news!

Got my number back and have it under my own name again.

Missed a week of calls, but at least now I am in contact with people again.

All it took was a few promises.......

Think they will be kept?

I've got several cellphones, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile currently. Sprint by far is the best and most reliable service I've had on any cellular service.
