UPS Sucks

Here's one to go along with the "Fedex Sucks" thread...

Package supposedly delivered today. Check the UPS website and it says it was delivered at 6:39 P.M. Oddly enough I was at home at the time and did not see the UPS man. Anyway, the website says they left it on the porch. Nothing on the front porch... nothing on the back.. where the hell is my package?

I would suspect that someone with a UPS scanner and your package had to have scanned it at 6:39. Now, would the UPS driver purposefully scan your package as delivered at residence but not actually deliver it? Check your neighbors.

Yeah, check your neighbors for possible theft.

I like to think I'm an honest man who abides by the law, but if I was your neighbor, Ian, I may "borrow" your package. After all, it may be the latest 16X Dual Layer DVD Burner. :D

I never have anything for CDRLabs delivered to my house just for that reason. This was a box full of Transformers... which is more important than drives.

Check your neighbors, sometimes drivers are idiots and can't find/deliver to the wrong house, however, it is rare.

At that rate, since it was apparently driver released, and UPS could not have obtained a signature, they are responsible for it.

Yes, my package was sitting on the porch of the hill billy that lives across the street. I just walked over and grabbed it. I'm glad I saw it.. those idiots probably would have let it sit there forever.

I am glad you found it Ian!

Hope it was the test sample of the PX-716A. ;)

No not the UPS person. The usual delivery person is a very attractive woman.

Jamie... I'm not even going there...

Ok, I "won't go there" either ;). Usual fee applies. Cash only.

Note: Lack of nicotine makes Jamie irritable. Which is why I'm avoiding the Beer Garden.

Maybe she has a thing for the hillbilly and saw that as an opportunity to get invited onto the porch, set next to the washing machine and have some Blatz.

She's wasting her time. The one guy her age (he's 20 something) is dating (and pratically living with) a 17 year old. And no, its not his sister.

Man, UPS really sucks (extreme sarcasm), listen to my friends expirience.

f***ing UPS...
"Shipped or Billed on: Nov 5, 2004"
Service Type: 3 DAY SELECT
Scheduled Delivery: Nov 10, 2004
WTF?!?!
I NEED it there on the 8th!

Sorry, but I can't blame UPS for this.

Your friend should have selected 2-day Shipping. The 5th was a Friday, therefore three business days would be the 9th. That is, if the item was actually in UPS' possession on the 5th. "Billed" doesn't necessarily mean UPS has the package in their possession.

Yes, this certainly is a life or death situation. Like it's probably a part for a personal video system and without it how can you capture and record on your hard drive the most important show of the week: Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment?

That's why I added the (extreme sarcasm) part in there. 8)

Your a bit off there, 3 business days is the 10th, not the 9th.

I mean, I'd love it as much as the next guy if the shipping companies went off of calender days instead of business days, but the fact is, they don't.

Hey, Wiz,

I see a lot of DHL trucks around here now. I guess that they've been afixin' to go into competition with FedEx and UPS. Do you think that will make it better through competition, or just one more to compalin about?

:P

Remind me to work for UPS when I'm older... my driver has seniority, and he gets to pick his own route (which he chose mine, because it's one of the easiest routes from my hub) and he gets a ton of vacation time too. Just got to work my way up the ladder.
