Hey, as I was filling out the rebates for my Nero 8, a thought just came to be about the rants of the phony pro-consumer leftist, pinko, socialist, commie types like Ralph Nader and the other scumbags of that ilk.

Remember when those anti-big business crud used to complain how the little guys, that's US folks, were getting ripped off because we were buying boxes ot New, Improved TIDE and Kellogg's Corn Flakes that were only 80% -90% full?
That's right, folks, we were to stupid to see that and expected the box to be 100% full.
Well, they ain't seen nothing yet!

Wait'll Ol' Ralphie opens up a box of Neroes and see that it is 95% empty!
Or, an only 8% full box of NortonSymantec anything!
Boy, will he be feeling screwed, or what?

Ralphie, whereyat? :P

You'd think the tree huggers would be more angry. There's no need for a box that big.

In all seriousness, they should just package them in DVD movie cases. It's not like they're including any printed documentation these days.

Actually, I think that the boxes are sized to discourage attempts at shoplifting.

I think the boxes are sized to get your attention.

Buy a serial number online and download the app. No packaging- just a bit of power while the Mibibytes trickle in...

Good point, MR, they don't want 'em sized like a greeting card.

But if you buy serial no. online and download, how do you get the UPC dealie for the rebate?

Don't get me started with retarded DVD cases  Why in the hell couldn't they have used regular jewel cases for DVDs when they were introduced- like CDs use? Hell, even use the lift cases like the ones Mobile Fidelity used for their gold CDs.
