Creating a signature?

Many users on this forum have a signature and the FAQ mentions How do I add a signature to my post?

But how does one create a signature in the first place?

If I go to my Profile, there is an option to control whether to attach the signature to posts or not, but I can't find an option to create or edit a signature anywhere!?!

Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places, or perhaps my Buffer Underrun status prevents me from creating a sig? Perhaps I'm just blind?

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Did you change something in order for the signature field to appear, because I could have sworn that it wasn't there before.

This is due to an anti-spam mod we have in place. Essentially, you can't add a signature until you have so many posts under your belt. It was set to 10 but I lowered it to 5.

I see. So I wasn't blind after all - just impatient! ;)

Thanks for making the change.

I didn't even realize it was doing that until I went in and updated that mod today.
