Problems after we moved servers? Tell us here.

We've completed the move to the new server. While DNS updates, going to www.cdrlabs.com should redirect you to www2.cdrlabs.com (and similarly, www2.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/). Keep an eye out for weird problems, and if you find any, let us know in this thread.

Thanks!

Faster server for one but we weren't too keen on the location. The old server was in Florida and there were the occasional hurricane that would knock out service for a bit. This shouldn't be a problem in Michigan.

I had a cookie problem- apparently was logged in on the home page, but all the ads were showing and I couldn't get rid of the session id in the URL. The cookie setting was sonehow changed to "block" and I couldn't stay logged in. I've got it fixed now- so I don't think there's anything you have to do on your end.

Hope the blizzards make a detour around your new server.

The chance of a tornado hitting the datacenter is incredibly slim, and even then, the datacenter shouldn't come out too bad if it's really well designed. The chances of outside lines going down is much greater during a hurricane than a tornado, at least I believe so.

Copied over the mysql config from the old box, which had higher mem limits for various things. Should help out a bit.

You were probably accessing the page right as I restarted MySQL. :)

Is the board going to stay at www2 or move back to www?

I'm asking because it doesn't just affect my bookmarks, but also breaks any internal links to images from the board's database.

[buck] PMed me that the images in my Introduction to DVDScan are broken. I'll fix them if I know how- but it isn't as simple as replacing www with www2 (as I thought until I just tried it).

For example,
http://www2.cdrlabs.com/new_images/13263.png
gives this message
Unknown column 'filedata' in 'field list'

and results in a missing image when placed betwwen [ img ] tags.

How do I link to these now?

Looks like Ian may have removed the "www2." thingy we set up. Long story short, we had to put the forums on www2. until DNS updated, and I was waiting until after the weekend to change it back to normal.

As for the pictures, they should be fixed now.
