Rename Next Generation DVD forum to Blu-ray & HD-DVD?

Sony PS3 is here with an integrated Blu-ray drive. The HD-DVD addon for the Xbox 360 is here. Blu-ray & HD-DVD PC drives and standalone units are now on the market. The "next generation" is now here.
Shouldn't you rename Next Generation DVD forum to Blu-ray & HD-DVD forum? Or add a new forum for these formats and keep "next generation DVD" for other technologies such as holographic, etc...

I was kinda lumping Blu-ray, HD, Holographic, etc. all together but now that Blu-ray and HD DVD are here, it would probably make sense to rename it. Remind me after Thanksgiving. In the mean time, I'll try to come up with a good description.. unless you have a suggestion?

"Blu-ray, HD-DVD and Beyond" might be a better title for the forum.
For the description I would assume you would want to follow the standards of your other forums and list all the media types BD-ROM, BD-R, BD-RE, HD-DVDR, etc

I'm still not 100% sure that Holographic should be lumped in with BluRay and HDDVD.... the technology and format is just way too different.
HDDVD is 15GB-60GB in theory, BluRay is 25GB-200GB in theory. Holographic media is 1TB+ in theory. HDDVD and BluRay are up to 4 layers. Holographic is about 100 layers I think?

Hey Dolphin, your points are valid, but from a forum useability perspective, will there be enough discussion of holographic to justify its' own forum?
I think not, hence it makes sense to throw it in with Blu-ray and HD-DVD

Or you could be controversial and change it to "BluRay and other HiDef formats"

I'm really wondering why you keep referring to the format as "BluRay".
We all know the "official" word for the format is
Blu-ray, and you're normally very attentive to detail. So what's up with "BluRay" man??

I call double layer 'dual layer' too... I'm developing bad habits
For what it's worth, I'm *TRYING* to start typing HD DVD instead of HDDVD, and Blu-Ray instead of BluRay.

It's better than calling it Blue-ray and HDD DVD. I've seen that quite a bit.
