Do you have a Plextor 40x? What media do you suggest buying that DOES allow writing at 40x? (today's keyword is inexpensive)

Thanks

Pretty much any Taiyo Yuden manufactured media will write at 40X on the Plexy PX-4012TA. I believe Best Buy is offering a special on 100 Fuji CD-R's (Taiyo Yuden made) for $7.99 after rebate. Check your local Best Buy for the scoop. Also, if you find any TDK or Memorex Taiyo Yuden manufactured discs then those will write at 40X also. CompUSA is selling 50-packs of TDK media for $9.99 with no rebates, if you can get a pack with Taiyo Yuden media then you are golden. Fry's Electronics/Outpost.com sells GQ (Lead Data manufactured) 40X CD-R's that will burn at 40X in the Plexy; these discs are $14.99 for 50, so you are probably better off finding some Fuji, TDK, or Memorex discs that are manufactured by Taiyo Yuden and on sale.

Look at these two links:

Both Fuji and TDK would be good for your plextor 40x and they are both on sale this week (9/8-9/14).

TDK would be the best out of that batch, unless you found some Memorex's made by Taiyo Yuden. Just look for the "Made in Japan" on the label.
