I could not find any that were manufactured in Japan so I purchased the Taiwan discs. I used Nero info tool and it said they were prodisc brand media. There is no made in Japan discs at the Leesburg FL store. Are the prodisc any good?

Prodisc, huh? That is interesting. That's the first report of high-speed Prodisc CD-Rs in a Memorex spindle that I've heard (I'm assuming you mean the Memorex spindle of 100).

I don't have any personal experience with Prodisc, but others have reported they are of reasonably good quality. Maybe I'll have to go pick up a spindle just to try them out. But I don't want to get a spindle of CMC - I have already tried those.

I guess I haven't been following the media compatibility thread closely enough:

There are reports in there of Memorex branded 48x Prodisc CD-Rs, and those reports, as well as Prodisc reports in general, are good.

Yeah, the 52x Memorex discs I picked up are Prodisc. Not too shabby either.

Thanks for the info I thought I was going to be screwed when I picked them up. But what the hell for only $9.99 it can't be all that bad.
