About those TDK which you say are made by Ritek. I have seen some made by CMC. I have also seen them made in Mexico by Mitsubishi Chemicals.

Never seen any Mitsubishi TDK's.. just CMC and Ritek's.

You guys should be right. I haven't paid much attention to CD-R media or CD-RW drives for a few months now, so I'm just going by what I remember.

BTW, is it just me or has there not been a Fuji media deal for a few weeks now?

Also, I hate how Best Buy has re-designed their online viewing of the weekly ad. There is no more pdf files to view of the ad. The new scans of the ad are poor and small. I was barely able to read the price breakdown of each product, like how much the rebates and instant savings were.

Maybe Fuji will finally come out with some 52x CD-R media.

I still have a 10% off coupon to use at Best Buy. I think that 80GB hard drive has my name on it.

Well,

Here's what I know.

The Verbatims were made in Mexico
So were the TDK's

I am pretty sure that Mitsubishi Chemicals makes for Verbatim
So Mexican made TDK's must be made by Mitsubishi Chemicals.

The Verbatim disks and the TDK disks were both made in Mexico. As far as I know, Verbatim disks are made by Mitsubishi Chemicals. Since I have never seen any other sort of disk made in Mexico. I assumed that those TDK were also Mitsubishi Chemicals. I have also had some CMC TDK. Never any Ritek TDK though.

The rebate is a little too big for me. I'd do $40 in a sec, but $80... that makes me a little nervous. I've been dicked too many times.

I checked the TDK's today. All of them were made in Taiwan.
