I think only selected types and quantities are on sale. There is a combination of instant & mail-in rebates involved. I picked up a 50 pk spindle of dvd-r's for $67.99 at the register plus a mail in rebate of $8, for a total of $59.99. I ran dvdinfo on them & they turned out to be ritek g03's, which was a pleasant surprise.

I wasn't real happy with their +RW media. Couple other people on the forum have had problems with it as well, on different burners. So it isn't a vendor specific issue.

Won't be buying it again. Fuji CDRs, no problems though.

I use the Fuji +R media a lot, and I think that they are pretty high quality (Ricoh). I have also seen some of their -R media saying "up to 4x" on the packaging which might be worth looking at if on sale.

It definitely makes a difference who the manufacturer is. So far the non-fuji riteks I bought previously have not had a single failure out of over 40 burns. I'm hoping for the same success rate from the fuji-riteks I just bought. In fact, the only problem blank I have encountered so far on my current sony dru500 (which was a replacement for one that broke) was a sony disk!
