Actually, it isn't over, or at least may not be:

Someone reported two days ago that the price for this item has fluctuated almost daily at amazon recently.
For example, before you posted the deal, it had been at $30 and gone to $40, and then back down to $30, which is when you posted it.

It seems they are testing sales vs price, to determine whether they will make more by leaving the price low (more sales) or by leaving it higher (lower sales, but maybe not enough less that they won't make more
money because of the 33% higher price...

Down to $32.49 (from $39.99) as of Sept 21 10:54 PM EST; don't be surprised if it changes again :)

I bought several of these 25 disc packs for $27 + tax a few months ago, plus I bought 30 Verbatim 4X discs for $29.23 + tax three weeks ago.

I got them for $29.99. Ordered at 1 pm CST and I received it the next day even though I selected the free shipping. I have never got anything from Amazon in a day when I selected free shipping. Guess I got lucky. Haven't had a chance to try one out on my new Plextor PX-708a burner.

Both amazon and buy.com get their computer stuff drop shipped from a company called Ingram Micro, located in a suburb of Chicago. I'm in Chicago, so I always select free super saver shipping on orders, and get them the next day. The way I know both use Ingram is the return address is the same for both companies.

Intresting, the return address for all of my goods is an Amazon address, and all packages for me ship out from where Amazon bases are.

I usually get my packages from a Kentucky warehouse that I order from Amazon.

I'm talking computer related gear here, not the other stuff they carry like CD's or pencil sharpeners. If a box has a return address of Lies Lane in Carol Stream, IL it's from Ingram. And bear in mind, the return address is not necessarily the origin address. If they are drop shipping something, they may not want it to go back to anyone but themselves.

I may have gotten 1 or 2 things from Carol Stream, IL...

My DVD's came from Dallas, TX

To rmdir's reply,

I believe you. Sparco.com also uses the same warehouse as I have ordered things from them and got them from this warehouse. Plus, their website also lists what is available in each warehouse.
