For those who are sick of rebates, Staples will have the same 50-pack of TDK 48x CD-R discs for $9.94 from 9/28 through 10/11 with no rebate required. Not nearly as nice a price, but less hassle.

Be sure to get the TDK in cakeboxes with the smooth rounded top - these are Riteks. I just bought one for burning copies for the Car stereo and they burned very well at 48X though smart-burn dropped one disc down to 40x.
The ones with the top with the extended high ridge are CMC and should be avoided!
silly me
