Best Buy also has a 50 pack of TDK CDR's on sale for

Does anybody know who makes these CDR's? Ritek?
Thanks!

Most likely Ritek or CMC. But TDK has been known to use other brands, even TY! Although finding a spindle of TDK/TY's is probably harder than finding a spindle of Fuji/TY's.

The last TDK 48x spindle I bought were made by CMC.

Best Buy is opening a new store in Bakersfield, CA and there was a flyer in today's paper. They are offering a 50 pack of Fuji CD-R blanks for $4.99, Friday and Saturday only. I don't know if this is only local or not but its a decent price with no rebates.

Done Deal!

Stopped into a Best Buy on Friday and snagged a Fuji 50-pack for $4.99 (no rebate). Best part was it was one of the elusive "Made in Japan" spindles.

Just picked up 4 50-CD Spindles at the San Jose, CA store. They were $4.99 each out the door (no rebate). They seemed to have quite a few in stock. These are 48X made in Japan. Great deal! :D :D :D

I couldn't get to the new store until about 6 PM so of course, they were out of the Fuji disks. Then this morning they showed a picture of a shopper there yesterday with a shopping cart overflowing with the things. I think I counted 11 that I could see and that was only the top layer! Oh well, I hope she enjoys them. :-? :-?

Ouch, that's gotta suck. Reminds me of the time when there were 9 people in line at Comp USA for PS2 and they were getting in 10 PS2's. I was so happy, then someone went and bought two of them, so I was SOL until I could find them much later. There will be other deals, hopefully soon.

Guilty

I bought 9 of them yesterday. There were no signs indicating that they were on sale, just the regular price, so there was no rush on them. There were probably another 30 on the shelf when I left. All were "Made in Japan" by the way.

crap - looks like I missed out on the Fuji CD-R sale. I was at Best Buy last night, and didn't see any sale signs on the Fuji. Had I known, I would have bought several.
