Walgreen (!!!) has a 100 pack TDK CD-R (picture shows 32X):
$22.99 - $10 ad coupon - $10 MIR = $2.99
If they turn out to be 48X and if you like TDK, this is fairly hot. TDK doesn't seem to go on sale as often as Fuji, Memorex, etc.

Is the $10 ad coupon an instant $10 off at the register? If so, that makes this deal good even before the MIR!

Yes, they're 48X and the $10 discount is indeed instant. The label reveals that they were manufactured in Taiwan, so is it safe to assume these are manufactured by Prodisc?
EDIT: I took the plunge, they're mfg'd by Ritek.

A friend was going there late in the morning, so I told him to grab me one if they are 48X. Unfortunately, they were sold out.

I stopped by at 7 am thinking that was when they were opening. They actually opened at 5 am and the shelf was empty. Just as I was leaving they brought their stock out from the back. Apparently they couldn't find it until then. I was there for about 10 minutes and five people came in looking for them. They had 12 spindles total.

I went to my walgreens and I did not see them in their ads as on sale, also I did not see a place on the shelf for them. maybe some walgreens don't have them on sale.

Sorry, fellas, there were at least 12 spindles (possibly more) at the Mesquite, TX (Dallas) location and even by 11am, there will still plenty left.
Also, Walgreen's has a pretty expansive network of stores (at least locally). If one doesn't have what you're looking for, it might pay to drive a little further to another one or at least call around (for future reference)!

I drove to Walgreens Saturday night and there was no mention of any ad coupons or rebates. I asked the girl at the counter if there were any special deals on the TDK 100 pack CDRs and she said no. I looked at their weekly ads and didn't see any adds for any $10 ad coupon or any mail in rebates. Any ways when I was at the store there were still about 30 100 packs on display. Very few people would buy it for $35.

The Walgreens deal was a Black Friday special. Best Buy has the TDK 100 pack (Ritek) on sale for $7.99 after MIR. I picked up a spindle this morning. Identical to the Walgreens TDK spindle I bought on Black Friday.

Right, and on top of that, this sale was only good between 7am and 12pm on Friday.
