Well it's really the cheapened version of it. Still does DIVX, but no memory
card slot or the 720/1080i progressive scan modes The 2001 is gonna be the next Apex ad600 or Sampo 631.
It still uses the same firmware so hopefully the updates will keep coming and work in the 2001. They basicly said they are going to unify it for both.
Target online claims to be getting some 2001's for 129 but I doubt it will happen and a few place MIGHT still have some.
