I believe it's +R discs, not -R. -R is this week's special, $4.99 AR.

Are those KHypermedia discs any good? Either - or +? $20 w/o any MIR isn't too bad...

hxh167, you're right. They are +R discs.

I haven't had any luck with them, while I know a few people that have had good results with them.

I had mixed results with KHypermedia DVD-Rs.
It seemed to depend on the batch (sometimes even on which disc you picked within a batch) and also on the package (for example the 5 pack in jewel cases [at the time, haven't bought them in a while] worked fine, while the 10 pack in a spindle produced coasters 90% of the time.
The 25 packs were better. Since they were only 1X, I gave the remainder (6 -7 discs) away to my brother after I started burning at 8X...

Never tried their +Rs. I usually use Verbatim, TDK and Memorex +Rs.
It has been a while since I used any.
I did try to buy the 25 pack for $4.99 AR last weekend for the heck of it, but they were sold out when I got to the store (late afternoon Sunday).

I just grabbed 2 MagicSpin 8x for my kids at OM. They are the
Optorite 8x with a MagicSpin label stuck over the original factory label.

Proof of Purchase label: BDVDRW8D UPC: 788069008983

These drives are OK with decent +R media but really suck writing cheap
-R or RW. Can't read most of them in other drives or home units. Almost
as bad as the Optorite 4x units but not as bad.

As for the Khypermedia +R, I haven't burned any yet but Nero says:

Manufacturer: CMC
Code: CMC MAG R01

Hope this is useful to someone.

Ian officemax won't allow coupons on items that are on sale now.

Officedepot does the same thing now where they don't let you do it.

Even online?

Ian yes even online. They take off the item online even though you can still add it in your cart if you have the item number it still says on the bottom of the item in big black bold letters that the item can't be combined with any coupons. :(

I got me a keyboard $10-$10 MIR. Very basic but better than on screen keyboard for my AMD system. :D

Actually nothing is free because you still have to pay tax. The only way to get is free is if you could us a small coupon even the $10 one off $50 one with any of them free after mail in rebate items. Though they won't let you do that anymore on any sale items. Oh well. The good always suffers the bad anyway and I knew it was going to happen anyway. Thats why I have 8 backup plans and its always good to be prepared. I rather be safe than sorry.
