i like plextor & own a lot of plextors drives but here in middle east plextor has european warranty policy thats mean 2 year warranty .but in us?

What about firmware updates for this drive, do they come from TDK or Plex?

Those come from TDK. There was a thread that someone explained how to use the Plextor firmware instead if you do not want to wait for TDK to release a firmware update.
