I bought some of these awhile back and I bought some today. They are good deal. Especially for Japan media.

From what I've read I think the Maxell Dvd+Rs made in Taiwan are Ricohs. So if someone needs some Dvd+Rs Ricohs are really good.

hydrogen,

thanks for responding. I was beginning to think i was a bit silly for posting this find. I know that ppl don't respond to many posts in the hot deals section, but i was starting to think that maybe this was not such a hot deal after all.

since I am uncertain if these disks burn at 8x, it may be that the taiyo yuden 4x that burn at 8x are a better deal...

It's an awesome deal. 30 dvds for $26.97 is cheap. Especially for Maxell Dvd-r made in Japan. Made in Japan media is the best stuff you can get. you usually have to pay a fortune to get Japan media. If someone doesn't jump on this deal then there crazy. I bought 4 packs last time when they were on sale and bought another 4 packs this time. I have 120 Maxell Dvd-Rs made in Japan. If I had the money I would buy all they had. I'm broke now though :(

What's odd is they have been pulled from the web site. When I go to the add and click the buy online linke it says "The requested products are currently not available online."

I'm not sure why there not there anymore. Tons of people may have been buying them I guess.

hydrogen,

i sure hope the deal is good. i just bought another 8 packs...for a total of 20 packs this week or 10 x $26.97 (tax) = $282 for 300 Discs. Hmmm...maybe i need to stop. :o

Yes, you might want to stop :)
Sounds like me when I used to buy CD-Rs in bulk due to very hot deals; I still have 600 or 700 blank CD-Rs sitting in my closet.

I bought Memorex 4X DVD+Rs (100) recently for $64 shipped, including tax, after coupon.
That would have been $192 for 300, which is $90 cheaper than the Maxell discs deal.

Buying 300 at a time might not be the best idea at the moment, unless you burn a lot in a relatively short period of time, since prices will most likely continue to drop in the near future.
At least Maxell makes good quality media, so you can't go wrong in that respect.

Happy burning!
