Their online ad says this is a "generic" drive. Are you sure its the Maxtor DiamondMax?

Dang, thought I lost my mind. On Sunday the ad showed a Maxtor because I did a copy and past. Today, your right the ad states generic....

Look at the model number- http://www.compusa.com/products/product ... pfp=BROWSE

Check google- http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... tnG=Search

Confused? So am I.

Now the ad says the Mfgr is Maxtor and the price shows when you look up a Maxtor 200 gb drive. Model number L01P200 is a Maxtor Ultra series drive. Looks like a pretty good deal to me. Tho, is there a difference between Ultra series and DiamondMax drives?

I was curious and called Maxtor. The rep said inside kit # L01P200 is a
6Y200P hard drive.

See DiamondMax Plus 9 then scroll down to the kits-

DiamondMax Plus 9-

Not bad at $ .50 per gig but I think the warranty is now 1 year.
