Hey, These are on line for 3.99 with free ship. I know these are probably not TY, but for 3.99 I thought I would try 7 boxes.

These are shown as 1X. The companion +R 25 pack is at least shown as 2.4X and not sold out, yet.

Saw this on a hot deals site around 2 AM just before going to bed.
I think I'll return the Teons from BF within the next few days.

The speed is just the generic (old) speed for that SKU. They'll be at least 4X, if not 8X.

Of course, they're sold out, so it doesn't matter right now. ;) Although some people have noticed BB shelf tags have the incorrect $3.99 price on them and are able to get that price taking them up to the cashier. I doubt that will work much longer at this point, though. [-X

PS/Got an e-mail they are back ordered and a delay ship of 4 days. Good chance they will be 8x :P

In Best Buy in Lakewood CA these are Fuji (DVD-R) 8X made in Tiwan on sale for $8.99 per pack of 25. The Fuji (DVD+R) are 8X made in Japan for regular price $19.99. Both they were on the sale 2 weeks ago for $19.99 per pack of 50 and both were made in Japan.

Perhaps trying to escape from the pricing error?

They finally shipped 3 boxes and they said I cancelled 4 boxes. Very strange. I called Customer service 5 times and could not get a straight answer from them. Oh well! I got 3 boxes to check out next week if they arrive.

PS/ Also ordered 4 boxes of the Fugi +R for 8.99 each with free ship. Still a good deal!

No way, TCAS. I go down the 405 to the Best Buy in Westminster - like you're goin' to Fry's, just not so far.

Slim;

I didn't know you leave this close to me, I leave in border of Long Beach and Seal Beach. I can either go to BB in Westminister ot Lakewood, by habit I usally go to Lakewwod one. Did you know, Today Sunday Dec 19, Staples has DVD+/-R Leon brand 4X on sale $4.99 for pack of 20. I have tried this brand before they burn with NEC3500/modded f/w at 12X.

TCAS,

I live in HB near Warner and Bolsa Chica. I work in LB near Cherry and Spring. So I do go to the Circuit City and CompUSA in LB @ Bellflower and Atherton on my way home.

10-4,

Slim

They are supposed to deliver mine by tomorrow.
I still don't know which speed they will be...

Hmmm....

I'll probably have to scrape the ice off; supposed to be bitter cold tomorrow.
Then up and down all week.

Only about 18 Fahrenheit predicted for the high tomorrow, then low 50s on Wednesday or Thursday, with 30s and 40s in between.
Crazy weather...

EDIT: Actually forecast is for 50 on Wednesday and mid 50s on Thursday; meanwhile at 3:00 PM today (sunny by the way) it is only 11 degrees!!!

You're right Slim. Keep on praying ( [-o< ) and maybe one day... ;)

Regarding warmer climates, I did have a possible opportunity to move to Florida, but it would be working for a new boss etc. and my immediate family would no longer be close by.
I also didn't know how the job situation in general would be vs. my current area.

It's not so warm down here these days.
But, I got my Fugi 8X-R 25 packs today and they are prodiscf01 8x made in Taiwan. I will do a check Wed on their burn rates on a 3500.

Just received the order I placed in the wee hours of the Sunday this was posted.
Each spindle arrived in its own box, not surprisingly since they provided me with a different tracking number for each one.

They are indeed Fuji 8X as we suspected they might be!!!!

Not too shabby for 16 cents + 1 cent tax shipped!
No PriceMatch (PM), no rebate, no hassle and didn't even have to leave home to purchase them.

Not I: I now have enough for at least 4 1/2 months of heavy burning.

The 1/2 month is based on small existing supply of media from a while ago.
The other 4 months are based on two recent Fuji deals and one recent TDK deal.
