Emprex products are always featured in the Fry's newspaper ads. I can't think of who else sells them.

I've read nothing but negative generalizations about these BTC1016 burners - but I have not been able to find any specific complaints ANYWHERE!

Can someone enlighten me to what is so bad about them that everyone here wants to avoid them like the plague?

Also, if anyone has any links to any reviews that have been done on one of these drives, please post!

Lack of manufacturer support, no firmware upgrade available and no community involvement and interest on this brand of burner. When you by it you stocked with it with no hope of further improvement or even community support for problem shooting
