Unless you need it right away, save about $20 by ordering it from buy.com, no tax and lower start price.
Free shipping.

Personally going to wait since I have been too busy with other things to even burn any DVDs.
Got a NEC3500A that hasn't even got one burn on it.

buy.com charges tax in CA. :(

And I'm also on my 2nd week of waiting for a Plextor Premium from them. Mailed from Santa Ana, CA. Or less than 30 miles from me. It's taken 1.5 weeks so far and still no package. They shipped it using some courier called "APX" which apparently took 2 days to get the box from buy.com, and now 5 more days to turn it over to the USPS for delivery. According to tracking, the USPS should get it today.

I could've walked to Santa Ana and gotten the box by now. [-X [-X

(I normally have REALLY good service with buy.com, many times overnight delivery since I am so close to their LA-area warehouse. I guess this is payback)

No problem ETP!
Enjoy it!
By the way the price is now $5 higher! Looks like you got in at the right time.
Guess some others read about the deal and applied their $10 (or 10% in some cases) coupons.

You might still be able to get it for $81.xx after rebate shipped free with no tax for most states (think Dell HOme charges tax to NC and possibly a few other states), assuming Dell qualifies for the $30 Plextor rebate.
This is a mfr rebate and there are no apparent stipulations listed about merchant requirements.
I have seen Dell product listings with Plextor rebates in the past; my main concern here would be that Dell usually hosts the rebate when it is applicable and this time they do NOT have it displayed...
Therefore it would be best to check with Plextor whether a purchase from Dell Home qualifies for the $30 rebate to be safe.

I'll try to post more hot deals now that I know how happy I made someone; I usually prefer to chat in the Beer Garden and save my posting for there...

Prices have been jacked u at Dell and buy.com ETP, the latter of which is also out of stock.
Glad you got in.

I am still waiting, since I have a 3500A which is over 2 months old with ZERO burns, so a 2nd burner isn't something I need to say the least :)

Veff! Those prices are terrible! Glad I got mine when I did. 716a is a great burner for $79 after rebate not $129-159. The 1620s are $52 at Newegg.

I will see how long it takes to get that rebate! :^o
