None of these are any bargain at all, by looking in to advertized at of other stores today you will find out this

off topic, but those Ultra16 Maxtor drives come with a 16MB buffer.
does the large buffer make any difference at all ?

Who am I or you to make that decision? I just put the ad up and each individual needs to make their own decision.

Also, some folks don't live in a large city and are limited to shopping at particular stores....

I don't know how much that big buffer helps with every day applications...curious myself. If no one gives a reply I'll look for some reviews.

Found only one review ( its over at AT ) but it was for the SATA drive.

The 250g Maxtor w/16mb buffer hung in there with a 74g Raptor II . Not to bad for a 7200rpm drive :)
