It's a +R cake box. Found them at the Best Buy located in Richmond Va...

The front label shows a speed rating of 1x -8x, but the reverse shows "up to 12x with compatible hardware". Above the SKU it shows made in Taiwan.

You could get a hundred different answers. It would be ideal to try different disks with your writer/firmware combination and learn which disks provide a low error rate.

Quality of the disk material seems to vary by which company manufactures the disk and who provides the specifications for the manufacturing process...

There is a lot of good info in the DVD Recordable Forum

Sony DVD+R/-R (8X) 50 pack for $19.99.

The Sony DVD+R is made in Japan
The Sony DVD-R is made in Tiwan

Good morning Slim. Did you buy any of the Memorex and determine the media code?

Thanks

No, I don't trust the Memorex. Here is a better deal with top media.

Memorex 8x +R is usually CMC, CMC with MCC code or Prodisc. Most of them seem to be CMC.
