May be this claim would be a good excuse for some people to rush to every store that they have Maxell MADE in Japan and buy every sigle one of them. Good marketing gimick?.

Look at the ratings people have given the Maxell 8x DVD-Rs "made in Taiwan" on videohelp.com. They are by FAR the worst rendition of RITEKG05 on the market, according to the posted details. Maxell is a brand that prides itself on quality, and customer satisfaction... they aren't the kind of company to pull something like that, even if only because it would be too much work on their part to try to get the false information out there.

Looking at their new pricing that being announced for distributors, as well as the trend Maxell has always taken (Japanese made for new products, and Taiwanese made for mass production products), everything is pointing towards the Japanese media being pulled from North American shelves, in order to compete with more craptacular brands. So people in Europe might be ok, and people in Japan will continue to get the good stuff.

OK! I tried the LD FW you sent and it says 12X for Max002. Flashed back to Quikee's extreme version 3 and 16X. There were two FW's in the pack and I picked the fast one.
So what did I do wrong. I am so @@@@@@@ confused.

I think you mean make sure you get the Made in Japan spindles from Maxell and Fuji because in the USA its possible to find Made in Taiwan 8X spindles too from those two manufacturers.

Slim; You are right I have doubt the $5 MIR will be receive for Fuji, so we might consider price of 25 pack for Fuji is $14.99 and then make a decision to buyit or not.

Slim, What ever happen to our Charlie Brown?, me be we could make it in week of starting tomorrow Monday May2 to Friday May6?.
