Maxell DVD+/-R(8X) made in japan in 50 pack each for $17.99. You can't beat this price for this quality of DVD+/-R. Also:

Maxell DVD+/-RW in pack of 25 or CD-R in pack of 50 your choice for $9.99 each.

Also in BB:

Memorex DVD+R (8X) most likely made in Taiwan in 25 pack for $9.99

Memorex DVD+RW Most likely made in Taiwan in 25 pack for $19.99

Thanks TCAS. I hope your right about the -R media being made in Japan. I've looked at 3 or 4 stores, and all of their stock was made in Taiwan. Good price too. 8)

noycan; both DVD+R and DVD-R are made in Japan and Taiwan and usually they are sitting mixed on the shelfs. You have to carefully look for the ones that are made in Japan.

I have no problem to burn these (Maxell 8X) DVD+/-R both at 16X with my NEC 3500 mod L/D f/w. I use both Fuji Yuden DVD+/-R and Maxell DVD+/-R all 8X, they all the same and they all burn at 16X without any problem at all.

I would say so, yes. Quite recorder-dependent though, so YMMV.

Are these compatible with NEC 3520A, and if so which firmware (1.04. 3.xx, mod firmware)? How compatible are these to benq 1620?
