DVD+/-R Sale at Best Buy

Starting Sunday june 5, Media sale at Best Buy are:

Memorex DVD+/-R (8X) in pack of 25 for $9.99

TDK DVD+/-R (8X) in pack of 50 for $19.99

TCAS! Those verbat 16X were a good deal last week. I wonder if any of these are 16X capable?

In the local ad, it shows that these are 16x discs. The DVD+R are ususally Philips or CMC and the DVD-R are CMC.

Thanks for the information Ian; I will visit BB this afternoon to see if in my local store those 16X are available at this price. It is very good deal specially if the disks turn out to be made in Japan also. I have not seen any other brand offering 16X except for Verbatim which the disks are made in Taiwan.

Edit: Ian you are rith the memorex are DVD+R (16X) I just check the sunday paper ad.

Yes the Memorex DVD+/-R at Best Buy are 16X and as expected are made in Taiwan, I myself rather to buy Fuji or Maxell DVD+/-R (8X) but made in Japan that buying these Memorex 16X made in Taiwan.

Thanks for the info TCAS. Did you see any DL media while shopping at Best Buy?

Yes they have D/L at the regular price of average $6 per disk.
