Comp USA is selling the Memorex 3 Pk for $9.99 in the national Ad. Take the Ad to Staples who sells them for $29.99, get it for $7.99 on the price match. Ritek D01 media code, not great reviews on dvdrhelp. I picked up two packs for just under $17 w/tax

If they price match that would be $9.99 for pack of 3 same as CompUSA, even with %10 in addtion still the price wouldn't $7.99. Could explain how did you get them for $7.99?.

10% of the difference = $2. CompUSA $9.99, Staples $29.99, $20 difference, 10% of $20 =$2.

$9.99 - $2=$7.99 plus tax. I did it yesterday.

TCAS, are you going to the Staples at the traffic circle after work?

Just to be safe, and not to waste $7.99, I'll burn mine @ 0.4X. But to burn them at less than 1X, I've go to turn my PC upside down. :P

Slim; I have not heard from you for long time, No today until Friday I won't have time to go to Staples. BTW How did you get the Momorex 3 pack D/L for $7.99?. Even if they price match with CompUSA it should still be $9.99.

No, TCAS, I didn't get them yet. That was just a joke. I would have picked some up today, if you could make it. We'll do that later. I'll check out the Big 5 today.

Later,

Slim

TCAS,

If you thought that it was that good a deal, then I'm in. I just got back from the HB Staples with 3 packs. Their jaws dropped when I pulled the CompUSA ad out and pointed to the item.

Need to find a movie to test it on.

We need to meet for lunch soon.

I'm taking the rest of these back to staples. The quality control on these is all over the map In a controled burn using all the same settings and software, I'll get quality scans that are like night and day. I burned 9 discs. one flat out coaster(wouldn't burn second layer) 3 dics with scans in the 40's a scan at 70, a 90, 93, 93, 95. I have a BenQ 1620, and a plextor 716A, using nero sofware to burn. Comp usa has the Verbatim 3 pk for $11.99 pm to staples for an extra $1.30 off. It comes to about $.90 more a disc. Well worth it from the reviews on dvdrhelp.

It is hard to believe that these Memorex DVD+R D/L(2.4X) from Staples are any different with Memorex D/L from CompUSA knowing the packaging is exactly the same and low production of DVD+R (D/L) that all being produced in the same location and the same facilities.. Either CompUSA discs have also the same problem or may be your problem with these discs is osculated problem.

Edit: I meant Memorex DVD+R (D/L) not DVD+R (16X)

Who's talking about 16X discs?
