Yeah, that is a sweet price. Picked up a copy on the 30th but I'll have to return it and repurchase today. I just read Ian's post about Nero giving the free upgrade ( to version 7 ) for purchases of version 6 after September 1st..

So what does the ULTRA do for me extra over the OEM packs from Newegg?

I don't have a copy of the latest OEM so I don't know for certain. To the best of my knowledge the oem version comes with the Nero Express interface. The retail Ultra/full version contains both the Express and Burning Rom interface.

Can anyone else confirm?

yes you can update your OEM Nero, but you're less likely to qualify for some upgrade deals.
like the current one - if you buy now a Retail Nero 6 you'll get a free upgrade to Nero 7, but not if you buy (get with a drive) a Nero 6 OEM.
