Wow, that's an awesome deal. Is it pretty much for certain this is authentic TY (i.e., is Supermediastore trustworthy)? I'd love to get one last stock of 4X TY for my DVD set top boxes...

I picked up a pack (well, it's 2 100 packs)... definitely real TYG01, the scans are beautiful. :)

Shipping wasn't too bad for me although I am in CA so that helped. It wasn't dirt cheap but given I specifically had been looking for TYG01 for my set top DVD burner, it's a great deal.

you're lucky you got TYG01... most has been TYG02 for some time now!

I'm curious, in the plastic hub of the DVD-R, are there 2 serial numbers stamped? or just one?

There are 3 numbers in the various hub-areas, which matches the look of some Fuji TYG01 I have.

There is a number stamped in the clear plastic area closest to the hole (1H5, stamped twice; on the Fuji media there is something in that area but it's much longer), and then in the main silver portion there is what looks like 040@ (or maybe 0408) and then GD000321.

All the fonts match exactly the Fuji TYG01, the only real difference is the 1H5 is much shorter than what's on the Fuji I looked at (SG316J03064GB)

The 1H5 stamped twice is a way of knowing that it's not Premium line media, but Value Line media. It's not always 1H5 though, but it always seems to be 3 digits, repeated on opposite ends of the hub.

Interesting. :/ Is there a major difference between Value and Premium? The scan (Except for an anomoly due to a scuff on the disc, I've checked a bunch more randomly and they all look OK so I think it's just this one.. I purposefully burned it just to see what happened) was quite good, especially considering I wasn't doing much to baby it.

Honestly, I have no idea what's different between Value and Premium line media. I know TY makes a big distinction between them, especially in pricing... but I've seen Premium media with worse results then Value line media on more then several occasions. The opposite however is also true.
