Are the HP Lightscribe CDRs comparable at all to the Verbatims? (I wouldn't normally buy HP media but the whole "Lightscribe" thing is new to me. For all I know CMC makes all of it)

Yeah, they should work. If you get a "not supported" message, you just need to update your LightScribe drivers.

Lightscribe is really coming down in price. Seems like the standard sale price is $0.40 CD-R/$0.60 DVDR, which is not bad at all.

I meant more in the quality of the disc aspect... (sorry, should've made that clear) It's a good price but if they're crappy discs I don't want to mess with them.

It is a mazing I bought this drive I/O Magic from the same outfit (Staples) back 3 months ago for $39.99 with no rebate now after 3 months you have to pay $70 for the drive and expect to get $20 back as a rebate.

Edit I forget to mention with $39.99 I use the $15 coupon and paid only $24.99. Here is the coupon still valid until Aug 31.
